Aquinas College
Concrete Repairs & Coating Works
JA Builders
Salter Point

Description
Opening in 1938, Aquinas College is an independent Roman Catholic school for boys. It is one of Australia’s oldest and most distinguished schools which offers day and boarding school opportunities for Kindergarten to Year 12
In late 2019, BUSS attended site to inspect the sections of the external walkway areas and various stairways of the school that were exhibiting signs of concrete deterioration and posing safety hazards to the students/staff. A quotation to complete the remedial works was developed and submitted for consideration. In January 2020, JA Builders awarded BUSS the contract to complete the remedial works which would eliminate the safety hazards and restore the areas of concern. Our work scope included the following:
- Concrete repairs to the deteriorated/damaged walkways and facing pressure washing of walkway
- Application of trafficable membrane coating
- Crack/joint repairs
- Corrosion removal and repairs and/or replacement to balustrade feet.
