Lida Apartments
Planter Box – Torch-on Waterproofing
Council of Owners

Description
Lida Apartments, a residential apartment complex located in West Perth, exhibited areas of damage due to water ingress issues at the planter box located in the lower
carpark area.
In 2019, the owners of the complex engaged BUSS to complete the necessary repairs and to supply and install a waterproofing system to protect against further issues.
BUSS’ scope of work included the removal of the planter box soil, installation of screed and drainage cell system to allow for adequate drainage and the application of a two-layer torch-on waterproofing membrane system.
Whilst on site, the owners requested that BUSS complete further repairs to the courtyard area. These repairs were of a minor nature and comprised of waterproofing to the perimeter of the artificial turfed area, concrete repair, brick stitching, crack injection and waterproofing to the pool plant room.
