Perth International Airport
Bayside Australia contracted BUSS to complete remediation works to the concrete slab of the Fire Training Facility located at Perth Airport.
BUSS personnel removed the damaged concrete and primed the surface area in readiness for the repair mortar. The repair mortar, made on site with strict adherence to mixing ratios as per product instruction and engineering specification, was trowelled onto the primed surface; particular attention was paid to the reo bars and to ensuring flushness with the existing slab. The repair mortar used was a bespoke heat resistant product which was engineer designed to withstand extremely high temperatures necessary for the training facility.
BUSS also reinstated saw cuts and undertook joint sealant works to the surface using a heat-resistant ceramic rope and fire rated joint sealant.
