Waste Water Treatment Plant

Crack Injection (New Tank)

RCR Water

water tank under construction

Description

In mid-2017, BUSS was contracted to undertake specialist crack repairs to a newly built concrete water treatment tank located at the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Shenton Park.

BUSS’ completed an investigation and pressure testing of the tank so as to establish the crack locations. Once the cracks were revealed, the most coherent product for the injections was determined. The repair process commenced with the drilling and installation of ports/packers/flanges, the repair resin was injected, the ports removed and the repair area cleaned by grinding. Once the works concluded, the tank repairs were inspected and approved by the Water Corporation Team.
