BUSS was engaged to rectify structural issues associated with the weighbridge at the new lithium plant in Kwinana.
BUSS specialist applicators were required to resolve issues associated with decreased cover and structural cracking of a large beam.
BUSS staff applied a liquid waterproofing membrane to ensure water could access the reinforcement resulting in corrosion. This membrane acts to protect against concrete cancer and ensure further concrete repair was not required.
BUSS was also contracted to undertake specialist crack repair to the existing structural beam to provide Structural strengthening.
BUSS mobilised experienced crack injection repair team and works included repairs to crack location as determined by an engineer report. The cracks are generally caused by movement in the beam during the concrete pour. BUSS worked across multiple visits in order to undertake the crack injection into the damaged concrete. Cracks were treated structurally with low viscosity epoxy crack injection resin.
Once completed, the entire tank was inspected by the Design Engineer and approved.
